Former School of Public Policy Professor Simon Haeder worked on a community-based participatory research (CBPR) project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Interdisciplinary Research Leadership (IRL) to explore why children in West Virginia display some of the worst health outcomes. More information about the project can be found on the IRL’s website.
I worked with Haeder to share the study findings with the research team in a live webinar, which was viewed by politicians. Haeder was then invited to speak to the PA Senate Democratic Policy Committee about school-based health centers.
